Friday was my Friday off and Calyn had early release from school so we took advantage of the beautiful weather and played in the yard. Our back yard has beautiful landscaping but for some reason the back bed was never touched. Mom, Dad and I worked and worked until we had it cleaned out. The kids played around in the back yard. It is all cleaned out now and ready for mulch.
Friday evening Calyn and I were invited to an Mommy and Me makeover night with her girl scout friends and their moms. I can not believe I did not take my camera! I will tell you that Calyn had me looking like a street walking clown. In other words, I was lookin lovely!
Saturday morning we started the morning off early. Calyn woke up at 6:45 ready to go! Max followed shortly. We had breakfast and a little time to play with Batmans before Calyn and I headed out for an outing.
With the sales from the Girl Scout cookies Calyn's troop voted to donate a portion of their proceeds to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter. Saturday morning Calyn and I met her troop at the shelter so they could present them with a check and take a tour...heart wrenching :(
Calyn and Ella. Ella is in Calyn's Kindergarten class too.
The troop the leader, Rachel and her little girl Charlotte, Mia, Paz (also in Calyn's class), Calyn, Lilly, Chloe, Caroline, Ella, Abbie, Layla, little Gretta and the co-leader Grace.
Calyn and the little Sheppard mix puppies (she cried for 10 minutes when we left because she wanted one.)
Calyn, Paz and Lilly checking out the baby kittens. These little cuties were sitting right outside the shelter. Calyn turned to me and said "Mommy! I have a great idea! Let's surprise Daddy and get one for him. They were cute and it was tempting, but I chose to live another day and not get one.

I will spare you any pictures of the tour. It was so sad in there. I feel so sorry for those cats and dogs! It broke.my.heart!
While we were at the shelter Matt and his mom and Dad began cutting down some tree limbs in the front and back yard. Here is Max carrying one of the limbs to the limb pile. He was such a good helper.
These next two were just so cute of Max. I couldn't decide which one to post so they both made it on here.
This is Calyn and Olivia. They played on the side of the house for about an hour smashing big river rocks to see what they looked like inside.
They were so sweet and let Max join in the fun. Every time they would crack one in half Max would pick it up and say WOW! look what is inside of this one!
After a while Calyn and Olivia went into Olivia's house and I made Max stay behind with me. He was getting really bored. After all this was the second day of yard work for the little guy. I called Merrick to see what they were up to. They were going to be swimming so the kids and I got all our swim gear together and headed over.
I laid out nude by the pool. Ok, that isn't really me it is a Barbie that Calyn positioned by the hot tub.

Calyn had been avoiding the camera. I finally was able to get one of her. She was in the middle of saying "hey! you got me!"
Super Max
I don't think anyone enjoys the diving board more than Uncle Jimmy. He is quite the flipper.
The last two days have been so busy that I might need a weekend from my weekend. They days have been fun and we have really enjoyed this beautiful weather that we are having. I hope you all have had a good weekend too!
