A busy weekend!!!

The weekend started off shaky with Jimmy's wreck but ended up being a good weekend.
Friday Matt and I took the kids to North Shore park where we had a picnic and let Calyn chase the ducks and play on the big play set. It was pretty warm outside so after about an hour Calyn was ready to go home. Friday evening we went over to Merrick and Jimmy's for dinner but didn't stay long. We were all pretty wiped out from the lack of sleep and anxiety from Jimmy's wreck Thursday night. I don't think any of us went to be after 10:30.

Saturday we made the drive to Katy for Madeline Tiarks' 3rd birthday party. It was held at Westwood Gymnastics. Calyn LOVED it! She had a blast! Mommy even did a back handspring and believe it or not I wasn't even sore! (Leslie you will need to tell your dad this when he returns :) Saturday night Matt and I went out to celebrate our friend Petra's 30th birthday. It seems that people that don't have kids this day and age don't go out until after 9:30 aka 30 minutes before my normally scheduled bed time! It was a good time anyway.

Sunday the guys worked in Merrick and Jimmy's yard. They were clearing the sod out of the back corner so that they could make a play place for the kids. They are going to put their swing set and sand box in there to make it easier on mommy and daddy when it comes time to mow.

Monday we went over to our friends Holly and Todd's house to celebrate Labor Day. The guys all went to golf yesterday morning and the girls and kiddo's went over to their house to swim. Once the guys were done they met us over there and Todd cooked up some yummy hamburgers and hot dogs. Everyone brought a side dish or dessert to share. It was all delicious!
