4 Year and 18 Month Stats

Despite the fact Calyn had a small fever we took the kids to the Doctor for their well baby visits. We knew that since Calyn had a fever most likely she would not get the shots that she was supposed to get but we took her anyway to make sure she checked out ok plus Max had to go anyway for his 18 month appointment. It turns out they can give vaccinations as long as the child is not running 102 degree temp. Calyn was only 99. We did decide to hold off on her vaccinations though because they were out of the regular Flu shot. They are supposed to get them in this week so I will take her in when they call to have all of her shots at once. I dread that trip back to the Dr. They had the flu shot for Max's age and weight so he went ahead and got his. Besides that one there were no other shots for him to get.

On to the stats, we will start with Calyn. They ask them a lot of questions things like what is your favorite vegetable? Do you do sports? What is your favorite color etc...? If you were wondering Calyn's answers her favorite veggie is Bananas (LOL). The sport she does is ballet (which is 1/2 true she also does gymnastics) and her favorite color is pink. Calyn is 38 and 3/4" tall and weighs 32 lbs. This is 25th percentile in height (go Calyn!!!) and 10th-12th in weight. Everything looked great and as always Calyn was her talkative entertaining self.

Max seems to be right on track with his development. He is starting to talk, can run, colors with crayons and can feed himself with a spoon and fork. He got to stand on the big boy scale and was a huge fan!! When we took him off of it to go back into the room he said MINE! He was a whopping 21 lbs and is 30 inches long. He is under the % scale but she said he had a great incline from his appointment last time (at 15 months). Her words were he's put together perfectly, just with small parts.

When we came out of the room and walked back by the scale Max jumped back on it and again exclaimed MINE!!! I guess he liked that piece of equipment.
