Our Balloon Boy

Wow! Two posts in one day. Tonight the kids and I went to Wings and More with Merrick Corry and Drew. As soon as we walked in the door Max saw the balloons and started obsessivly saying balloon, balloon balloon. I told him if he was a good boy and ate a good dinner he could get a balloon. All the kids did great and all ate a great dinner. As we approached the front door (where the balloons are located) wouldn't you know there were only 3 balloons left. Luckily, the hostess was very nice and had the guys in the back blow us up another one.
Unfortunately, when we were getting in the car Calyn and Corry's balloons got tangled up and both girls ended up holding the same string and one floated off to heaven for Mortie (my parents cat) and Bonnie (my parents dog) to play with.
Corry very kindly gave the remaining balloon to a very tearful Calyn with the promise of getting to pick out a special Dora balloon for herself tomorrow after school.
Calyn was so worried when we got home that hers was going to float away that she even made Aunt Meme carry hers into the house for her.
Max I think realized that if you let go your balloon floats away so he wasn't letting go for anything..... not even his bath.

Eventually he did finally let go but it wasn't until about 15 minutes AFTER his bath and after he realized that if it floats up to the ceiling mommy or daddy can still get it.
