Open House.... School Starts Tomorrow

As most of you know Calyn will be in PreK this year. Where has my baby gone? I can't believe she is going to school. Matt and I chose to send her Tues and Thursday from 9-2 so that Corry's Kindergarten class and Drew's PreK class would all fall in the same time frame. Which would make carpooling much easier. There is no doubt that Calyn is going to LOVE school, the socializing, the coloring, the playing the socializing...wait did I already say that? Just wait until she finds out there is learning involved too! :)
Today was her Open House at school we turned in her Star of the Week poster and checked out all that the class room has to offer. Here are some pictures from the day.

Getting ready to go to Open House
Calyn's star of the week poster. If you double click on the picture it will make it bigger so you can see more detail. I think most everything is self explanatory except maybe the drawing next to Lexi (our mini schnauzer) and the drawing above 'Hoot'. The one to the left of Lexi is a picture of Diego in the grass. The circle above Hoot with the little colorful circles in it is a picture of Calyn's pillow. The other pictures she drew I think you could probably guess what they are.
Calyn with her poster
Calyn, Drew and Corry with their posters. You will notice that Calyn and Drew's are a little more detailed than Corry's? This is because Corry's teacher is going to have them do theirs in class as a project. Corry's teacher just wanted pictures on a poster board.
Corry and her pictures
Drew and his poster
Calyn (posing as usual) with her poster
Corry and Calyn in Corry's classroom (the penguin room) playing with a little doll house and the handicapped dolls. (the dolls were in wheel chairs, had crutches etc... very diverse!)
Drew playing with the trains in Corry's classroom
The three kids collaborating in the Butterfly Fish room (Drew and Calyn's classroom)
Lunch afterward at Schlotsky's. I just thought this picture was priceless.
